Thats the problem -they hide behind the smokescreen like the wizard of Oz - and nothing comes out that coherent like :
Rumsfeld says today that critics of Bush are "morally confused" and dont understand the threat - from "Islamic Fascist".
We the American people are a very literate and an educated people, so why arent we getting an explanation of what the threat is - and our policy or strategy for dealing with the threat????????????
Instead we hear only about a new" Boogie man - flavor of the month"! We have yet to hear the REAL rationale for invading Iraq
who was no threat to us.
So why should we believe them now?

Its way more than $30 billion a year if you consider what we give to Israel, Egypt etl al. in foreign aid etc. We've spent more than $200 billion in Iraq over the past few years.
The policy-- talk a little bit, then start some crap. Don't make real progress there because then all the special interest won't be able to feed at the teets of the fed government cow.

to no longer problem because of the fact after the autumn elections, there are going to be many lots needed transformations alongside with termination of an unlawful warfare in Iraq and the pointless and unjustified demise of such countless American militia workers and harmless Iraqi civilians. i think of it is slightly late for any final minute conservative bid to aim and save the yank tax payers something. The conservatives will discover that any attempt now could be in simple terms too little, too late. They subsidized a loser for too long and interior the autumn elections, it is going to be time to pay the fiddler. Darryl S.

Unfortunately, warfare (and make no mistake -- this is a war) costs lots of money. I consider myself a conservative, and firmly support the President's efforts to establish an appropriate regime in Iraq. The costs of failure are incalculable, but clearly huge.

theres alot of people making money off the war ... including the bush and binladen family as well as the whole military industrial complex ... the big central banks are the real winners loaning all that money out thats guaranteed by ur taxes ...average american taxpayer? the only thing they care about is keeping him teetering on the edge of what he can bear without falling off.
