I agree. What I find scary is the stories about paparazzi's waiting outside a celebrities home for days just to get a picture or doing all sorts of crazy and dangerous things just for a snapshot.

The problem is that information about their private life is perceived as good for sale. It is the system of demand and offer. People dont care about or dont feel need to respect their privacy. Jurnalist and photoreporters work is to earn on such information so they dont ask us if we want to know and if celebs want us to know. The voice to give them real private life is weak. Law is also not a strong help yet but should be. Privacy is also the problem because it always means you have or you want to make something be hidden. In today life because of terrorist threat we must be reflected by police and such law representatives so the problem take influation also on us all. Maybe we just must start living the way we dont have much secrets to keep for ourselves. Some lessons from life...

They promote their lives to the media in the first position . maximum so referred to as celebs' don't have any expertise and make a contribution not something to society . They earn great sums of money from the media by using truly promoting their deepest lives to the standard public . So no they have not something to whinge about . they extremely unhappy difficulty is that such quite some human beings actual purchase into this idiocy .

I agree, I mean sure I like to read the little things like where they like to shop, Whose dating who, Their favorite colors, their birthdays, what they do to help out the needy and the environment, but I think it is so bogus how all of the bad stuff about them + their lives, is just posted all over the internet, in magazines and other stuff like that!!! That's gotta suck big time!!! But then they ask for it by doing stupid things, and it's the price they have to pay for fame, that's how desperate people are to be famous, some really are just pursuing their dream and they really don't deserve the nasty media attention.
But a lot of celebs are just pretty, overpaid, faces who look good on TV, make lots of money and do all kinds of stupid things for publicity!! (ie Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohah) and do very little to help the rest of the world with their Mega-Millions!! I think that even though it sux the nasty celebs deserve to be exposed as frauds, losers, and bad people!!!!

In all fairness some celebrities use the media for their own ends. To get back into the media when they have new movie or book they want to publicizes. It works both way I heard about famous actress in the UK who use to ask her friend to ring up the local tabloids newspaper and tell them a juicy story. Then she play on it saying I have nothing to say. She knew dam well she was going to be front page of the tabloids the next day.

Well lets take an example ...if I was good at football & happened to be good looking so that without asking for it the public made me into a celebrity....does that mean that I am obliged to lose my privacy & have no say in the matter (when all I had to do with it was to be good at my craft..which happened to be a footballer rather than an artist or a bricklayer)?.....So my answer is..a celebrity is entitled to a private life.

wow thats a really good point lol. i guess i agree they deserve privacy for a lott of things like they should be able to go shopping or take their kids to the park w/ out being stalked to death. but i can see why people like hearing about celebs lives. i think its fine that you get a lil gossip about them every now and then i mean it comes with the territory as long as the paparazzi doesnt go over board. some people just like hearing about celebs cuz their lives are more exciting.

It's Not Nice...But It's What Comes With The Job I Guess...But I Dn't Usually Give One About Who They're Sleeping With, Their Wedding Photos Or What Their Favourite Colour Is. Your Right...No One Has Any Right To Know. Thanks For Bringing It Up :D

I agree that their lives should be private if they want them that way. Perhaps some of them enjoy the publicity.
But to answer your question, maybe people have nothing to do in their own lives and so live through looking at the celebs.
Not very healthy, I would say.
Personally, I don't care what they get up to in their everyday lives - even if I have enjoyed their performance.

They should have the right to privacy, lets face it not every thing that gets reported on TV and the papers is that interesting anyway.
Do you really need to know that a celeb has a spot or hasnt shaved under their arms ..... so what!!!
