Click the Start button
Select Control Panel
Double Click Sounds and Audio Devices

On the Sounds tab, choose Start Windows from the events list. Browse your hard drive for a saved sound wav that you'd like to have play when windows starts.

Click ok....and you're done.

Go to Control Panel> Sounds & Audio Devices > Sounds tab

You'll find the "Windows Logon" in the Prgram Events box. You can change the associated sounds by browsing to your *.wav file.

click start, then control panel, and then sounds and audio devices, and then in the window that pops up titled "sounds and audio device properties" click the tab at the top that is captioned "Sounds". then in the scrollbox at the bottom titled "Program Events" scroll down to where it says "Start Windows" and click it. that will then enable the browse feature below thats greyed out when nothing is selected. click browse, and then go to the directory the wav file you want to use is stored in, and select your own .wav file. click apply, then click ok and viola, new windows startup sound.

He is wrong.. you cannot change that particular introductory music... The only thing that you can do is to either MUTE it or to make it softer or louder
