.
Without knowing what zone you are in makes the recommendations difficult. But, you can try Sagitaria spps., Ponditaria, Carex, Lobelia, and a variety of different native grasses. Again without knowing where you are it is difficult. Cunsult a landscaper with experience in wetland remediation or another professional.
Good Luck!! Stick with NATIVES!!

Well, I would buy a book on bog gardening. Also, do some research and find which nurseries in your area sell bog plants. It can be done. I would suggest buttonbush. It's a large shrub with white flowers in summer.

oh how lucky you are, you can get some really neat plants and have something that most people can't
you could have some neat driftwood, unusual rocks
you could attract frogs and turtles, maybe ducks
Home Depot and Lowes both carry aquatic plants
contact LilyPonds Watergardens, VanNess WaterGardens and Slocumb Watergardens for catalogs and have fun

you can put in cat tails and pond lillies and other water plants and put fish in it and plant other plants around it and you will have a place for wild life if you like to have the wild life to come to your bog or wet lands, turtls and all kinds
