The constitution doesn't give you the right to kill. Be careful who you accept advice from, if you observe someone stealing from you get pictures or video. Then let the authorities handle it.
Stealing is not a capital offense and if you are angry enough you could accidentally kill someone. Then you become the one in the wrong.
What are they stealing from you? Drugs, money? Is this person a relative, neighbor, aquantance or a stranger? Did you do something to insigate the theft?
A lot of if's is why any action on your part could land you in the jail cell instead of them.

Yes you can. Immediately after they are unconscious call the police be very straight forward with them and make sure they know the guy was taking your stuff. Don't kill them though cops might think you went too far.
