I don't think anyone is born bad, but there're certain factors that may make a baby be more or less aggressive, such as what the mother eats and how much stress and pressure she went through during pregnancy, or what kind of music she listened to, for example. I'm no doctor, so I can be too specific about it, but I did read that a recent study showed that women who consume meat during pregnancy increase the levels of stress hormones (cortisol) in the baby.

To answer you question, I think that people are products of their environment and education and their minds are not slaves to their genes. Education isn't just what you learn from your parents and in school but everything that influences you to think a certain way, which means that every interaction with society will affect your education and be a part of it, for better or for worse and to different levels, but it will. Then there's the action/reaction factor. Too many prohibitions might lead to rebellious thoughts in adolescents, for example.

I think life's events make them that way. Nobody is born bad. We are all sweet and innocent when we are born. It also has got to do with they way you are raised by your parents which is a life event.

Both. Some people are born bad, some people become bad for a variety of reasons.

And people born bad often become even worse as life's events transpire.

I have to believe that we are not born bad. the alternative leads us down the line of finding the bad gene and banning people from procreating because they are a carrier or giving people abortions because they have a "bad baby"

i have to believe in redemption as well.....even people who have commited the most heinous acts can be given a second chance and can be useful society members

I'm pretty sure I was born bad. I pulled a gun on my mom at 3yrs old. The same day I stole the neighbors car. I've calmed down as I've gotten older but I still feel urges to do bad things. It's all about what you can get away with. It's not bad if you don't get caught. :)

Nobody is born bad.

But some naturally behave in a way which is considered to be bad in response to the world around them

I believe people are born good because life as baby's start as a blank slate... then as life goes on things happen both good and bad....different people react in different way... they may experience something horrible and choose to learn from it move on and help others...or they may choose to retaliate hate everyone and become destructive ...

I don't think anyone is born bad
it just depends on how they're raised
and the people they have to look up to.

JoBu believes this is a combination of the two factors. They may act out on what they witness at home, ie father beating mother, beating on you, etc. Others learn it more from the outside world, while others just combine the two together to become downright evil.

Rum Shots to you as always.
