Nope. Schizophrenia is a real disease where the mind hallucinates voices. They come from inside the mind.

This reminds me of how people say that they talk to god while on hallucinogenic drugs - but it's the same case. Anything they're experiencing is a product of their mind alone. Note also the connection between hallucinogenic drug use and development of schizophrenia.

Your question asks;

"what do you think of the following statement?"

There are two statements (plural) following your question. But your question only asks about the first statement.

So, my answer to your question is that I agree. Some people consider 'talking to God' to be prayer.

I guess because most people talk and don't listen. They usually don't like the answer.

God doesn't answer in a thunderous voice, he whispers to us through our hearts and minds and presents us with solutions we never thought possible.

So if someone has a continuous dialog going on inside your head, I'd be suspicious!

I agree with the first part, I don't agree with the last. When God talks to us, He's talking to us.

I think that most everything people do is crazy :) But, if we run around screaming "GOD TALKS TO ME! I HEAR HIM IN MY HEAD!" that may be worse than saying "I believe in God, he speaks to me through his creations" blahblahblah you get the point.

I think it's an unfair statement. God may not use words to talk to people, but he talks to them every day. If that makes me crazy, rite on.

Depending on who do you talk to about your conversations with god, you might end up becoming a prophet or you might end up charcoal.
