I would say that it's a sign that your body is spending most of your energy making a baby, leaving little left for you. Also, the extra weight you are carrying, whether inside the recommended limits or not, taxes your body and will tire you out. Imagine carrying around 30 pound dumbells all of the time before you were pregnant. That would make you pretty tired and irritable too. Try to relax and rest when you can. Any rational person will forgive your irritability right now.

I have had the same problem most of the summer. Super tired all day and depressed, I would snap at my husband over nothing. My doctor just told me that I'm anemic, and after being on iron supplements for 2-3 weeks I feel a lot better. I don't feel so tired and my emotions seem to have leveled out. I don't know if that is what is going wrong for you, but it's worth asking your doctor about. Have you told your doctor about these problems? Sometimes when we are pregnant we think we sound whiny if we bring up every little thing, but that's what the doctor is there for.

I agree with the answers above. Late semesters carry more than just 10 extra pounds of water and weight...it also carried more hormonal fluxes, sleep problems (I found that sleeping on my side with a pillow between my knees works ownders), and other ailments. it will all be over soon. Just try to nap when you can, eat and hydrate as much as you can, and enjoy the peace before baby comes.

It's a good sign of being pregnant. Expect more of the same...especially as you get bigger and more uncomfortable. At least we're heading into some cooler weather. That will help you feel less uncomfortable.
