All that 8 trillion dollar debt? Who is going to pay for it?

They aren't spending it, they're stealing it. They just funnel it to cronies who own businesses like Haliburton who in turn pay them dividends or contribute to their coffers. Basic back scratching 101. Human greed - They are the fattest pigs at the trough.

There are various forms of Republicans including a homosexual subsection called the Lincoln Logs. Many Republicans are furious over the national debt, but since they are the Republicans in power, their voices don't count much.

Those Republicans that are complaining about the debt believe that government is not going to pay it back and that the leaders putting us here will be retired or dead (so why would those leaders care) before there is a breakdown.

To make matters worse is social security and medicare (both Democrat projects). Both will be going broke in less than 30 years and will add (unless there are changes) around $30 trillion or way more in national debt. Why? Because Social Security and Medicare are not really seperate from the budget. They are suppose to be, but via accounting tricks in the form of internal bonds, that money was already spent. When the baby boomers want their money for social security, those bonds will be cashed and the money will come out of the national budget and not some social security/medicare savings box. It's the real fiscal conservative (different from social conservative) Republicans that exposed this scam used by fiscal liberals (of which George W. Bush, Ronald Regan and George Bush senior are/were) from both parties.

Well, you know, 8 trillion is only 5 trillion if the dollar is allowed to devalue, on and on and on.

Americans pay for it, or tell the 'debtors' to go fish. China holds a lot of debt, what're they going to do, shoot us for the money? Whoops, there goes their whole economy (based on US consumers primarily).

Congress appropriates, White House accepts or denies. Dems and Reps are equally guilty of running up debt. Some debt is good, like debt that brings feisty but dim-witted populations out of the 19th century and into the 21st. Some debt is BAD, like any debt that doesn't go strictly to roads, security and education. Notice some things got left out there! Yeah, well, the government sucks at healthcare, welfare and a host of other ridiculous burdens on the fed that don't belong there.

But the bottom line is inflation will eat away at that debt pretty quickly, and you'll have a lower bill, or refinance it, down the road. Fret not, it's only half as disastrous as it looks now.

wow ... where did this come from ? I think that is a very logical question, but I would submit, the republicans aren't alone in their spending.. there were lots o Dem's on the vote to invade Iraq, and also the budgetary dilemma of bizarre and wasteful tax legislation that was passed by both sides of the isle.. I think we are already paying for it and it's only the beginning..
but where is the punch line ? I know my buddy Shiraz can't throw this down without pulling the rug out somewhere ?

Chris B, in my humble opinion, you are an absolute moron.

Fact - Republicans have been responsible for the record breaking deficits and the surging national debt since Reagan and his trickle down economic policy.

Fact - Bush Jr.'s administration has served the largest federal budget deficit and national debt in the country's history, and Clinton (a Democrat) actually had a budget surplus during his administration.

Talk about clueless. You are a party patsy and a total idiot.
