I choose make a child cry because I have done that many times as a preschool teacher. In training children to have self discipline and showing them how to keep from hurting others physically-to use their words instead of physical violence.
Those little feelings would be hurt but a few minutes later the smile was turned upside down and the child had learned that the behavior I was trying to model was the best way to go.
Usually the child had done something that was hurtful to another child and the other child was crying already so two crying children led to two crying children learning something---I wont allow anyone to get away with physical violence in my room and if a child is hurt by another, I will comfor the hurtee and punish the hurter.
Trusting an adult to never hurt you physically is a wonderful thing to have if you are a child.
And trusting a human is a great thing for an animal to have.
I would never consider kicking any animal and I have a problem stepping on ants. There is a cricket in my office and I keep looking for him because I dont want him to die. I would like to put him back outside so he can continue his journey.

No I can't answer this very well. It depends on the situation. If the kid was being bad then making them cry would be just 'cause they would stop and realize what a brat they are... Or if you mean by just being plain mean to a kid, then I wouldn't even do that... and kicking a puppy is always abuse no matter what. This is a really hard question and I opt out on not doing either.

If you don't do anything extremely horrible, making a child cry isn't that bad. They will usually cry for any reason just to get what they want. Kicking a puppy is always wrong. So, if there aren't any specifics as to what I'd have to do to the child, I'd pick that.

It's believed that 87% of the human population do not know the difference between right and wrong. Kicking a pupping is a conscious effort on your part to do wrong. A baby will cry on its own even without you trying. The correct answer is to comfort the baby by giving it a puppy.

Well, I would make the child cry. You didn't say you had to kick the kid to make him/her cry. I could probably tell a kid "no" and he'd start bawling, yet discipline is an important part of growing up. Kicking a puppy, however, is in no way any form of discipline, but something used to instill fear in the puppy. That is abuse. I go with making a kid cry.

I would not use violence against another living thing. If the baby was to cry because I did not kick the puppy the baby would have to cry. In any event I would not use an intentional act to cause pain which kicking the puppy would.

make a child cry. Some people have said I can't hurt a baby. Well, up until the age of 18 a person is considered a child. I was a teacher and I had a student cry because I took away their recess. it felt horrible that the kid valued recess over his homework but c'est la vie.

Well, yeah I can answer it. Honestly, if I had to make a choice between these two options it would have to be make a child cry. And I know which child too. And he's not really a child at all anymore. And boy does he have it coming. I would do it by telling him he's adopted.

If you are going to insist that one do something cruel, why not go all the way!? Kick the puppy in front of the child, thereby making the child cry as well.
