if it is 3x+5 raised to the power of 1/2
then the domain is:
3x+5>=0
3x>=-5
x>=-5/3

if it is 3x+5 multiplied by 1/2, then
the domain is all real numbers

What is the question? Are you finding a value? Are you finding a derivative? Are you graphing it? Are you complaining about it?

Okay domain...is that 1/2 an exponent or is it multiplied by the 3x+5?

HOMEWORK!

I assume that the 1/2 is an exponent. Then you need 3x+5>=0 for the square root to be defined. When does that happen?

Nope

f(x) = (3x+5) 1/2
f(x) = (3x+5)/2
f = 1x(3x+5)/2
f= 3xsquared+ 5x)/2
then i don't know how to continue can't remember
