Hmm.. not sure, good point. But, I think it just sounds really weird to hear that from a guy. Its different if they like pat you on the back and say you look nice, but cute? Its just weird..

I would say it's because women are more open to the beauty of other individuals. As men usually look at other people for sex.
It's like how bi-sexual women is almost totally accepted either openly or in the closet of the mind. But if men don't make distinctions, it's this great big "oh no".
I believe it's because men aren't nearly as evolved as we would want or expect.

Well cute is a bit girlie really so maybe if guys were brave enough to compliment each other they could say cool or wicked or whatever the 'word' of the moment was for great or nice, I mean come on would you really want another guy telling you your 'cute' unless your 5 years old and its your grandad I doubt it, you are probably a cool dude or a wicked guy, but I just can't see your mates saying your cute somehow.

I don't know. I think it's unfair though. When girls comment on how cute another girl is, it doesn't mean she likes the other girl. I don't know why the same does not apply for guys. I think guys are more aftraid of being called a homo or something like that.

I say men are attractive all the time, doesn't take from my masculenity. I think each person has a certian level of security within themselves, some more than others.
