HELP!!!! I have LIPSTICK all over my scrub uniforms! How do I remove it?

I washed all my scrubs together and I left lipstick tube in one of my pockets. It is all over my scrubs and I can't get it out! I have no work clothes now, and scrubs are really expensive... PLEASE hELP ME!

lipstick ..ooo .. i have used it by luke warm water ...u can say little hot too water add some spoon of salt and that cloth .. but this method is used only when u have not washed it after this problem ...u must directly do this procedure after lipstick on ur uniform ...or just try it may be it ll effect

Have you tried the method that gets out ball point pen? (Ball point ink has similar ingredients as lipstick, I believe). Try spraying with hair spray and let it set for a bit, then rub the spot (with a nail brush or other stiff brush if necessary) and see if any of the stain budges. Respray if necessary. Then wash out thoroughly. Good luck.

(If you are unable to remove the spot using any other method, I have had success painting the spot with acrylic paint thinly applied in the same shade as the base fabric. it's not a perfect method, but it salvages the damaged garment. Especially since it's work wear). Remember that if the spot is the same color as your garment, most people will not notice it, (most people really aren't that observant) and you'll be moving around, not standing still for inspection!

If you have too many spots to treat, as a last resort you can try dyeing the garment. Cotton will dye fine, nylon will dye. Poly and poly blends are difficult to dye and won't always take up the new color. But if you use a dark enough color you might be successful. If it doesn't work, at least you gave it a shot.

The final idea is appliques or patches sewn over or ironed over the spots.

OMGOSH... THIS IS WHAT I TRIED AND IT WORKED!!!!!! 98%

I got a recipe online to "CLEAN SHOWERS" soap scum miracle so to speak.
SO I got to thinking after reading these posts...Lipstick is sort of a waxy type substance.....

SO I DID THIS:
1 1/3 cup of white vinegar for a full tub ( of mine and my husbands clothes that I washed AND DRIED together, not realizing that I left ANOTHER lipstick in my pocket)
PLUS... 4 TBL of Dawn or Costco brand of Dawn soap (I used the Costco Brand equivelent)
and I ran the cycle on HOT WATER.
I was SHOCKED TO SEE THAT almost the entire spots were gone..... I did find a few minor spots on socks... but HEY...I was THRILLED.....
I've tried the scrubbing each spot thing.....more than I care to say....SO I tried this...and it worked.... YIPPY SKIPPY....HIP HIP HOORAY!!!!

1 1/3 cup White vinegar for full load in washer
4TBL soap
HOT WATER.
HOPE IT WORKS FOR YOU TOO...

Try goo gone or goof off. You have to use an oil based product to remove because lipstick is mainly petroleum IE oil.
You can also try something called whink. They sell it at ace hardware. Its in a gold bottle. Good luck. I usually have a 50/50 outcome when trying to get out lipstick.

Try Goo Gone. You can buy it almost anywhere. Target, Walmart, Walgreens, CVS. Directions on how to remove the stains are on the back of Goo Gone.

I am a house cleaner and vinegar takes out every stain i have come too it gets rid of everything and it wont bleach your clothes so i say try vinegar

I think that you should use Mary Kay oil-free eyemakeup remover. it'll take off make up stains from anything! I hope that this helps!!

oo man, they are very expensive. I don't know how to get lipstick out of clothes. Maybe you can die them so at least they are all one color.

if u've already dried ur clothes in the dryer then it will be almost impossible to get out....try shout...it works great...if that dont work...then find this stuff call m-30 it works miracles i use it all the time
