Has anyone experienced this during pregnancy?

I'm 28 weeks pregnant and about a month ago my left eye started twitching and hasn't stopped since. I went to my doctor who says its harmless and it will go away after delivery. Has anyone experienced this during their pregnancy or does anyone know what causes this (besides being tired). Thanks for your answers

I had this happen at the beginning of my pregnancy. It was highly annoying. It was also the last term of school, my mother in law was visiting, and I was getting ready to graduate. So I think it's a stress thing. After my mother in law left, and after graduation a month later, my eye stopped twitching. Is there something that has been bothering you lately? Has something changed in your life or daily routine? Even the smallest thing that you don't consider stressful can create stress. Try to relax a bit more by pampering yourself and see if that helps. I don't know what causes it, but I had it when I was pregnant too. My lower eyelid would just twitch randomly, sometimes enough to be really irritating. It didn't do it when I was sleeping, though, and other than being mildly annoying it never developped into anything else. Try to ignore it, and if you can, get more sleep. For some reason, the more rested you are the less it will twitch.

I haven't, but my sister had a twitch in her toe and her eye so I wouldn't worry about it. Her child was perfectly healthy and during the strain of delivery the twitches stopped.

A friend of mine had a twitch in her right eye when she was pregnant.

I didn't experience this...but it could be nerves...when my sister was pregnant with her first she thought at one point she was having a stroke because the whole one side of her body went numb...she called the doctor and they told her the baby had probably pinched a nerve with the way he was laying.
