I was laid off from my job in Texas (I had for one year) and am now moving to Arkansas. Can I now collect unempoyment in Arkansas from this job in Texas?

Yes. If you have already filed in Texas and are receiving benefits, notify them of your new mailing address and they will send the checks there. Or they can put to your direct deposit account.

If you have moved and have not filed yet, file with Arkansas, and report your earnings in Texas. They will ask if the majority of your earnings are from another state and they may require you to file with Texas OR they mat have a reciprocal agreement to be reimbursed by Texas and allow you to file with them.

Whichever, unemployment compensation is a federal program and your earnings and benefits move state to state.

you can also call the office and tell them you need to have the income move to arkansas. this should be work

id get the claim going while i was in texas , transferring an active claim should be easy
