In today's world, there is such an abundance of information floating around out there that people have become accustomed to logging and detailing every aspect of their lives without any thought for how that information may come back to haunt them. Our spending habits are recorded. Our electricity consumption is recorded. And thanks to things like blogs and Yahoo Answers, our thoughts, beliefs, and biases are recorded. So where does it end?

Forget cloning, could you reconstruct a person just by the data they leave behind? Or will that data be used to label and classify people by insurance companies, employers, etc.?

Your challenge is to submit your best horror film concept based on the impact that all of this data floating our there will have in the future.

Awesome point/idea. I´ve been thinking about this as well, such as how it could haunt a public figure in the future to have their posts outed before the public. Big Brother may not be watching, but he is definitely collecting. It would be nice if people would realize that their comments on Public Forums might come back in the future, it might cut down on some of the BS. When I write my screenplay, it will not be about this, but I totally encourage you to do so, it rings soooo true.

mad scientist (the good horror flicks always has a mad scientist) creates a robot that is "self aware" but has no personality. Its AI is still basic so to make it more human, the Scientist associates it with the internet, Yahoo Answers in specifics hoping it will learn human interaction. And learn from all the information on the site.

Tha robot gets "attached" to a 360 profile user found through yahoo, and somehow gets that idea that it is that person. Using pictures on the 360 profile the robot manages to recreate a copy face. It puts questions as how t make a prostetic mask and all information to make itself look like a human. With is advance tech it was able to "hack" yahoo and follow the users tracks. eventually the robots starts answering for the user, it becomes more stalker like and eventually decides to kill the user so the robot can become the user.

Most horror films have terrible plots, so I don't see why not.

Yeah, like we could all turn into our avatars.

But at least we'd all be thin.
