you don't have to tell him why you love him, but it's nice to hear the reason once in awhile. for security.

I guess not but doesn't there have to be a reason? A why you love that person or what you love about them? If you can't answer that I would seriously rethink calling it love.

You could considering, for yourself, what makes that special someone, special. After sometime, you might realize that it was just you who thought there was something special about them, or you find out that there REALLY is something special.

I think "I love you" is a good enough statement - it doesn't really require a reason.

you don't HAVE to give the reason, but if you REALLY love them, the reason is easy to give...you don't love somebody "just because"....there is a reason for everything...
