there could be several reasons...1. usually horror movies have a lot of blood and guts...guys usually like things like that more than girls. 2. guys want to watch a horror movie with a girl so she will cuddle up to him when she doesn't want to see what's going on in the movie...which ties into 3. if you have a squeemish friend/boyfriend/girlfriend isn't it cool that you can watch that stuff and it doesn't bother you? 4. just to get a thrill 5. to watch something their parents might not want them to watch.

I'm 24

I'm 15 and I don't really enjoy horror movies. I mostly watch comedy. I started watching horror movies when I was 5 so they are kind of getting boring to me anymore. They plots are the same anymore. It's not only teenagers who like horror movies though. A lot of adults like horror movies also. It's just what they like, I guess.

I'm 19 and i enjoy a few horror films as long as they're not too disgusting (like the hills have eyes) horrible movie...never watch it...But i'd rather watch scary movies like the ring because i'm not into people burning to death or getting cut into little pieces...that's just not my thing.

I have always loved horror movies. Halloween, Friday the 13th, Scream, Nightmare on Elm Street, Hellraiser, Candyman, etc...

I still watch them -- I'm 42.

I love horror movies - except the ones with Freddie Kruger (they creep me out). It's the unexpected, the gore, the blood and the screaming! And I'm in my 40s!

i prefer musicals (phantom of the opra) comedies (the burbs, robin hood men in tights) dramas (black beauty, the color purple)
im 19 and i dont appreciate horror movies. i think they just give sickos out there a reason to kill. they sit and watch murder after murder and they think its okay to do so. i dont agree to Saw, for there have been cases of murders and killings involving torture like Saw.
