the US became prosperous for a number of reasons, but the one that is often overlooked but is probably the most important is the fact that we hit the geographical lottery. The US has almost every single natural resource that they country has ever needed. When you can just grow and grow and grow, and rarely have to import goods for survival, you can focus on other things like culture, government, etc.

You need to refine and rephrase your question. The USA is not prosperous. There are some that are living high on the hog, but the majority are not. Check the lists to see where the USA ranks in things like infant mortality compared to the rest of the world. We are the last industrialized country NOT to have nationalized health care because the medical profession wants to keep their bloated pockets full. With GE, General Electric, leading the way, there has been a steady drain of money and resources out of this country.

Study on it a little more and enlighten yourself.

I surely have had an abundance of zucchini from my backyard this twelve months so I surely have been making zucchini bread yet my new sought after is to slice the zucchini a pair of million/4 inch thick and positioned slightly olive oil on it with some season salt. Then the two grill it on the grill or do exactly it in a skillet for a couple of minutes. The zucchini gets so gentle it virtually melts on your mouth. i'm no longer great on vegetables yet it is surely stable!

the US became prosperous because of the Industrial Revoution as well as gaining its independence from the British. they traded yet learned the skill that the Europeans perfected many centuries ago and used many ideas to their advantage. through the many systems that we have today: social class, having a democracy vs. a monarchy and being a diplomatic country.it had people like washington, jefferson, madison, franklin and so forth who were all intelligent, good diplomants and kept our countries with as many allies on our side.that is just my take on history-i am a history major by the way.

American foreign policy of free oil.Keep corrupt Sheiks in power in middle east.Buy Oil from them and force them to buy food and manufactured goods from USA,and rest of their Money to be invested back in USA and who so ever do not agree throw him out and confiscate his money Example Shah Of IRAN.But in this game many mistakes were made.Example they installed ayatollah Khomeini ,BaniSadar and Gotsahebzade in Iran the mullah turned his *** against them and operatives like banisadar had to flee but Gotsahebzade got his head chopped.Same way free Bananas and fruit from banana Republics.Ore from Indonesia. And of course all their 5 fingers in the banking Industry.

Well Europe had all those same advantages, yet the USA surpassed Europe.

At its base, the USA system allows free enterprise more than most nations, and always had. That is one major reason.

Iraq hasn't contributed one cent to our national growth, any money has gone to executives. A real war that helped us grow was WWII.
