yep you need the an audio cable its 2 wires red and white and it has a 1/4 inch audio jack on the end of it. make sure your laptop sound manager has line out ticked on the advanced properties and you put the 2 wires into the correspond sockets on your hifi and the 1/4 jack into the laptop sound out or earphone output

There should be a 3mm stereo phono out on the laptop. You'll need a cable to connect this to the L and R Aux inputs on the back of your hi-fi amplifier.

There are nice usb speakers which you can fix on for high quality sound. I have a pair that is really cool. Comes with a leather pouch so you can carry around and with built-in amps. for its size, the loudness and richness is uncomparable by other branded ones. I happen to have a new one if you are interested. Cost me USD25.

dont connect direct to the speakers
Assuming youve got a reasonable hifi, connect to the AUX socket, thus using the amp

If you buy a lead with red and white cable on one end and 3.5mm jack on other then plug into Headphone with this and connect red and white to your Stereo,Also works with mp3 players including ipod happy listening :)

yah sure, if you have phono sockets (red nd white) then just use those and set your stereo to AUX mde, ther than that try using a double ended 3.5mm cable, its the same connector as on headphones but both ends of the wire!

yes you can! :)
find the line out socket / s and connect them to inputs of your amp / midi unit.
if you only a headphone out then you need a 3.5mm - rca plug (or whatever the amp / midi unit uses for an imput) lead.

go forth and annoy the neigbours! ;)
