A fine Pastor answered your question this way. Some members quit the congregation; others cheered:
Rev. Gregory Boyd is an Evangelistic Preacher with one of the largest mega churches in the US. Recently, during a televised funding drive this was his opinion on mixing State and Church:
The requests came from church members and visitors alike: with the country at war, please could’t the church hang an American flag in the sanctuary?
After refusing each time, Mr. Boyd finally became fed up, he said. Before the last presidential election, he preached six sermons called “The Cross and the Sword” in which he said the church should steer clear of politics, give up moralizing on sexual issues, stop claiming the United States as a “Christian nation” and stop glorifying American military campaigns.
“When the church wins the culture wars, it inevitably loses,” Mr. Boyd preached. “When it conquers the world, it becomes the world. When you put your trust in the sword, you lose the cross.”
“America wasn’t founded as a theocracy,” he said. “America was founded by people trying to escape theocracies. Never in history have we had a Christian theocracy where it wasn’t bloody and barbaric. That’s why our Constitution wisely put in a separation of church and state."
“I am sorry to tell you,” he continued, “that America is not the light of the world and the hope of the world. The light of the world and the hope of the world is Jesus Christ.”
Well said, WWJD

Because in the United States of America, we have freedom FROM religion. The Bill of Rights states that Congress shall make no law establishing a State religion, so we are free to follow our own faiths, and the churches are proud that they are part of this great land.

A church is not owned or run by any governmental entity, as such they can pretty much do what they want, sort of like you.

Because churches want to run the country.
They steal the flag and put it on their property.
They don't like separation of church and state and want YOU to act, think and believe exactly as they do.
Stay away...........

I agree with Tommy.... the church does want to run the country and other nations as well... think about it they tell you that you have to give them money or you will go to hell... they say that you have to do everything perfectly or you will go to hell... well what if this IS hell?? Think about it..........
