Around the end of the first trimester, the uterus gets big enough to rise up out of the pelvis and put a little less pressure on the bladder. Also, some of the hormones that contributed to frequent urination are declining and being replaced by others as the placenta takes over hormone production. Your frequent urination will probably return in the third trimester when your baby drops and gets big enough to again press on your bladder. In the meantime, enjoy the relatively symptom-free time of your second trimester!

It's completely normal, mine fluctuated until recently again-- since 28 weeks I have gone back to all the time restroom breaks throughout the night. In the beginning I went a lot, slowed down around month 4 and that lasted through month 6 now at month 7 it's back again. As long as oyu still stay hydrated no matter how much you are expelling you will be fine...

In early pregnancy you usual only go a few times a night. I thought it was weird for me the other night because I am going into my 38th week and I only got up twice where as normally I am up every half hour to an hour..and I had the same amount of fluid intake as usual! I think everything is fine! But look foward to a lot of sleepless nights ahead!

My fiance experienced this as well. All we could do was guess, because the Dr. couldn't give us a sure answer, but we guessed that at some point, the baby starts requiring more of what you are taking in, and therefore there are less wastes. Hope it helps.

i was the same way and i'm 3 months pregnant now with my second. once your body gets used to all the changes you wont have to go as much. once you get towards the end of the pregnancy you'll go back to getting up several time to go to the bathroom b/c the baby will be pressing on your bladder. congrats and good luck!!

During your first trimester your utuerous stays in the same spot and starts to swell pressing on your bladder causing you to make potty trips. During your second trimester (which you are starting now) your utureous starts to expand upwards and not putting so much pressure on your bladder, so you make less trips to the bathroom. During your last trimester you are huge and have to pee all the time.
