It's a good way to keep in touch with friends. Some people use it for meeting new people and dating. Personally I just like to talk to School friends.

It's a way to make more money out of the internet and it is borring. All the ready-made spaces are. I rather see my friends try to build their own webspaces (how ugly they may turn out) then looking to all the same pages with only different content. It's like walking in a forest with only one kind of tree. The branches are different but some variety would be nice.

Its a good way to chat for nothing to people all round the world. The only thing as a girl you have to watch for is the Arabs, Turks,Algerians as they always just want camsex.But you can block these people off. You can actually meet quite some decent people out there. Give it a go-you've nothing to lose.

It's a fun way to see what all your old high school friends are up to. Plus, I live very far away from where I grew up, so its a good way to talk to people I probably wouldn't have kept in touch with otherwise. It's a great time-waster (maybe better than tv).

I like it because I was able to reconnect with people I haven't talked to in 10 years.
A lot of people seem to use it to show off or convince other people how cool they really are.

It dumb. I used to do but you get addicted, and it wastes a lot of time. My sister has to check it like once every 15 minutes. If you want to talk to your friends just use aim....

Finding people from the past and making new friends. And letting other people know your tastes in music, movies, etc...It's sort of an expression of yourself. It's fun and you should try it.
