I have posted this question for my visitors on my webblog, haroldsays.net. I have done this because of the fact that I realized we say thank you to a soldier for risking their lives for our freedom, and that is a good thing. However, if you stop and think about it, police men and women risk their lives every day all across our nation for our safety and freedom. So, hence the question, have you thanked a police man today? If you have not, maybe it might be something you want to consider doing.

It wasn't today but yes I have, thanked him for cleaning my mothers neighborhood up of some bad thugs.

Well I definetely am glad we have police and greatful for what security I do feel in the US, but there are so many jerks that become police officers for the power trip its amazing. Some cities are worse than others and country side cops are usually more down to earth but not innocent of it either. I haven't had to deal with too many because I abide by the law but one time in particular my wife was in an accident after a night out. Her car smelled like beer because her friends had been drinking plenty of it but she hadn't. That cop that ''helped'' her telling her she was going to go to jail and being condescending before even checking to see if she was alright. Even after the other cops arrived on the scene and she passed the sobriety tests the guy still was being a prick, pleading that he could take her to jail for further tests. Yes, I'm glad that there are good cops out there, I've met them, but lets not thank all of them, just the good ones we know.

u know some thing ur 100percent right i never thought of it like that. the next time i see a police man i will say to him thank you officer for protecting us! bec people always disrespect police but when they got a problem who do you think they call..

Nobody likes a cop ....... Unless they need one! We do our job regardless of the people who dont appreciate us.
