It's not a scientific question.

It cannot be answered or studied by any of the tools of science.

No experiment can possibly be designed to test it and no physical scientific observations, logic, or mathematics in any way lead one to such a theory that resurrection is possible in terms of the factual knowledge available to science.

It's not a falsifiable theory, which is a minimum mandatory requirement to qualify as a scientific theory.

Science does not deal with questions of divinity or any kind of untestable theories because such questions are totally beyond the realm of science and cannot possibly be answered.

It's just something you either believe or don't believe, whichever you want.

There's no point in asking a physicist or any other scientist. They simply cannot answer such questions because they can't use any of their tools of the trade to evaluate it either way.

Physics requires a proven physical foundation upon which to build its theories and derive its conclusions and this question has no such foundation upon which to build. For that reason, and the fact that it's not falsifiable, it's not a valid scientific question.

Strictly speaking, it isn't a scientific question--but neither is the claim that humans evolved from apes, because neither can be proved or falsified. (Although, even 2% DNA is a ridiculous amount of information when you're talking about something the size of the human genome and the fact that each mutation must be beneficial to the organism for it to be fixed in the population.) We can, however, see if any alternate theories fit the known information: A Nazarene named Jesus was crucified (pet theory says on a Wednesday.), and the body disappeared after three days (Thursday Friday Saturday). Later, the disciples start spreading the Gospel, saying Jesus Christ is risen.

Nobody opposed to Jesus' message stole his body; if so, the body should have been shown to the disciples to prove their claims false. No one will die for what he knows is a lie.
Neither did the disciples take the body, since they wouldn't have suffered for a lie.
Anyone else wouldn't have taken a body from a sealed and guarded tomb--with the penalty of death on anyone who opens it; he or she wouldn't have had a motive.

The only remaining scenarios are miraculous ones, which, by definition, can't be explained by science.

Scientifially it was predicted by the Sign of Jonah.
The testing of this prediction is that God the father Resurected Him.And he is sitting at the right hand of the Father as our Advocate.
Lazarus was resurected also by Jesus Miracle however lazarus lived a life like any one else he died again. So it is scientifically observed that even though a physician may save a life from dying its only temporary.
No one has scientifically figured out how a man can be resurected .Nor what is the life inside the body of a man made of.

AllI can say there is only One way to Eternal life.
As per the One who has promised to give it, and that is the One Who was resurected by the Father. .

When I went to Theology College they did consider this a scientific question because of the fact that Jesus, and Lazarus for that matter, were resurrected after 3 days. 3 days is the point where you can say it was just a coma or something. Even now they bury people after 3 day. 3 days of no water or care and you are dead. Plus when Jesus was stabbed with the Romans spear the blood has separated from the platelets. This happens after death. Then the fact that he was seen alive later by sooo many people says that he rose from the dead.

real religion is the most subtle and high science, so yes it may be answered scientifically also, but we are not at that level. we are still at a low level of cosciouncence and knowledge.
we don't even know all the misteries of the matter and less the antimatter, and this is a manifestation of the unmaterial into material. It is the existence of the spirit separately of the body, the matter, so i think the divine wanted us to realise that we are more than just matter, thoughts and emotions(which are matter on a very subtle level). We are this "thing "called spirit which is beyond space, time, and other dimensions

Jesus develop into crucified on a Friday because of the fact they had to take his physique down earlier the sabbath that starts off at 6:00 PM & he arose returned On early Sunday Morning, So in case you may take Friday, Saturday, & area of Sunday you do finally end up on the third day. yet to be greater scientific approximately it, all of us understand that Jesus physique won't see corruption, & ask any funeral directer & they permit you recognize that corruption set in after 72 Hours

Go Jay T! That is a truly great answer.

Pretty boring the way these religious nuts feel the need to make facile attempts to stimulate what their tiny minds believe to be a serious debate. Don't get me wrong: not against religion, just zealots.

I don't agree with you. It is not a scientific question, because it is history. Christians believe that Jesus was resurrected by God, therefore that's the explanation. God cannot be explained by science.

Fairy tales aren't science. This belongs under religion or mythology -- take your pick.

I suppose it could be a science question. Did Jesus, through God, have the power to retain consciousness after the death of his body and then have the power to re-antimate it.
Yes, I believe he did.
