I have laminate flooring to install that looks like real hardwood. They are individual pieces, 3 different lengths. How do you know what order to put each board length so it looks like a pro installed it? Maybe I should just hire the pros to do it for $300. Does the video show you what order to put the boards?

The room is a rectangle, 11x22, no fancy edges or anything.

All you want to do is make sure that the edges are staggered. It's supposed to look random.

you take the square footage and divide that by the amount of square footage there is in a box and you will get the amount of boxes you need. Also add an extra 2-3 boxes for coverage in closets. Lowe's has a laminate floor kit to help lay it down. You will also need underlayment and that come so much to a roll. Make sure you have a circular saw handy. Have fun!

Calculate how many strips it will take to complete the width...allow a 1/4-inch gap for expansion along both walls; snap a chalk line to show where the edge of the tongue will fall.

It does. You do not want to have all the lines match up. It lack overall strength and looks like a DIY job.

ok. it works like this. it is set up kinda like the shingles on your house. you are going to want to stagger them so that none of the seams line up. so if you have a short one then on the nest row you'd put a different size to make sure that they don't line up. it's really easy, don't make it harder than it really is. hope it helps.
