My husband is blackmailing me into seeing this movie. Is it as bad as it looks beacause it looks like one of stupidest movies ever made. By the way, I do NOT have any interest in NASCAR, red-necks, or Will Farrell. Will I just wind up singing old disco tunes in my head during the entire movie or will I actually get a small chuckle out of it?

it is a very funny movie. it is cut in the mold of Old school and Anchorman. If you are not a fan of those then this may not be your movie, the nascar thing is just a way to stream together a line jokes. Actually the racing is a side note to the comedy.
Ah just take one for the team anyway, I am sure you can use this to get him into the next notebook movie you want to see!!

It's actually a funny movie, and not especially about Nascar, rednecks or Will Farrell. I mean even if you aren't interested or knowledgable about those things you will get a few giggles out of it,

You might not like it then. I happen to like Will Farrell but my expectations were still pretty low. He made some of the parts pretty darn funny, but if you're not into him, then I'd see something else. Like World Trade Center if you've not seen it!

i don't care for nascar either...i think will farrell is hilarious in this movie tho (i usually only like his small character roles.... altho i did like Elf). u may enjoy it, just keep an open mind and don't expect too much. he is SO RANDOM, i really enjoyed it! :)
