I've tried ovulation preditcor kits and still nothing. Any other medicine out there that can help me?

Go see another doctor. It's standard to seek a fertility consult if you haven't become pregnant after 6 months of trying.

Everyone's cycle is different. There is a myth that woman ovulate 14 days after their period begins...but that is only an AVERAGE and each month can be different. The other thing is that sperm can live inside you for up to 5 days.... so if you are having a shortened cycle one month and you have sex right after your period and you ovulate earlier than day 14 than yes, there is a chance of getting pregnant. They only way to know is to know exactly when you ovulate. There are several ways to know and some are more effective than others. Some can only predict before ovulation happens and some can only predict that is has already happened. The absolute best info I can give you is to go read a book called Taking Charge of your fertility by Toni Weschler. It will help you understand your body and all the myths about it. It will help you time when you are ovulating and the best times to conceive – or not! . It's about knowing your body and knowing when you are fertile or not.
My husband and I tried for 1 year and had no luck....the first month that I began using the book I realized that my timing was WRONG!. We got pregnant that very first month and I am now due Feb 2, 2007. You can pick and choose what you do with your info. Good luck and don't listen the all the myths! Even if you don't get into charting and everything....it will help you in so many ways!

Get your husband checked out. It could be that nothing is wrong with you and that your husband (and previous boyfriend) have low sperm counts. Also, sometimes a woman has an unhospital environment for sperm to survive in and they die right away. There are many reasons why you might not be conceiving. Clomid won't help if you are already ovulating. I'd get a second opinion since most dr's will refer you if you have been trying for a year or more. Basically six years with unprotected sex means that there could be something wrong.

Has your doctor told you to chart your basal temperatures? If ovulation is erratic for you, then it would slow down getting pregnant. I don' t know of any drugs other than clomid that will help you get pregnant that wouldn't require a doctor's prescription, if he won't prescribe clomid he's not going to prescribe injectibles (super expensive).

You could always check with another doctor for a second opinion. If another doctor prescribed clomid it would increase your chances of getting pregnant, but it could also cause you to have multiples.

properly, i think of there are a number of drugs that experts use earlier IVF. And what approximately IUI? in basic terms as an FYI: i understand you ovulate however the Clomid would not in basic terms make women individuals ovulate, it stimulates the upward thrust and makes specific your ovary releases the main mature egg. in basic terms because of the fact which you have been freeing a follicle, would not recommend it became a mature egg waiting for fertilization. that's probable why your physician tried that for you. i might look on the different ideas earlier giving up. solid luck

I don't know about other medications, but I do know all about switching doctors. And that is what I would do in your case, or at least get a second opinion. Has your husband been checked? Many times, it is not the woman who is having problems, but the man.

Good luck!

You can see another doctor in your area and have him refer you. Also, I think that you should get an HSG. SOOOOOOO many women get pregnant right after this procedure is done. Ask him about it, he should say yes, and if not, for surely get another doctor

If you are ovulating, maybe you should ask your doctor about Gonal-F injections.
