Why not stay together, but just date. Sometimes by being a widow, he has all kinds of feelings going through his head, so give him time. Have fun together, and enjoy each other.
I think the two of you are on the right track, Time will tell, and that will good for you also. You will know more about each other, learn their ways, and your heart will lead you.

Honey, you have been on quite the emotional roller coaster. I don't see what the rush is. If you are having a hard time with this, then you need to speak up....you aren't ready for another committed relationship just yet. I'm sure you miss the idea of having a spouse, but take the time to mourn one before jumping in with another.
As for him asking you to marry him....I honestly think he found someone he loves and he jumped the gun, asked the question before he realized what he'd done, and now he wants to slow things down a bit. That's normal. That means he is not trying to rush you and cares enough about you to give you time. Take that time, live together for awhile and see how it goes. He may very well be your Mr. Right, but if he's not, wouldn't you be glad that you had the chance to find out before you got married?
And last but not least comes the prenup. This one sort of bothers me. You're damned if you do and damned if you don't. I could understand a newly married couple that are both starting off together not having one. But I cannot convince myself that not having one would be in your best interests. A prenup is there to protect everything you have in life in case this does not work out. It's not saying that you love him anyless...it simply says that if it ends, you walk away with what you came with as well as he. Be smart about that and don't let love leave you blind. Even some of the sweetest people have hidden agendas honey.

if he's scared.. and you are.. don't get married right away.. there's no rush.. you are happy together as is... just live together and make each day count... - if and when you get married.. if he wants a prenup... well, if you love him and are not after him for his money.. then it shouldn't be a problem.. vice versa..
my brother got divorced... him and his new girlfriend have 'promise rings'... but do not want to get married... so in light of everybody they appear as being married.. but they are not legally.. and they are happy that way.. they both suffered a lot during their marriage.. and take things one day at a time..

just try being engaged for awhile and see where it's going, if you feel comfortable living together, go for it. but since u've just got a divorce, maybe u need to take some time for ur-self. just to make sure that the both of you aren't on the re-bound....you said that "WE LOVE EACH OTHER"...not.."WE'RE IN LOVE WITH EACH OTHER"..big differance...think about this some more....goodluck..
