I don't mind this person, but I can tell that this person is threatened by me. If I come to class late and sit in the back, there is no problem...but if i raise my hand, ask a question or make a comment in class, then this person has to outdo me. I wear makeup to class, and even though this person has already said "I would NEVER wear makeup", now she wears make up to class...
She MUST sit right in front of me..answer ALL of my questions to the professor, and has to tell me something each time I attend class, like "what you said was interesting..." or "hey, you look familiar..have we met?"
Why is she bothering me? What can I do to ease her tension? Once she's eased, then she won't have to be worried about me....

Well, honestly, you should be flattered. This person envies you. And, even though it is irritating, you have to sort of feel sorry for this person. She is not happy with who she is and is enamored by you. The best thing to do is keep living your life and hopefully she will move on to someone else.
