I've heard of it and have been married 5 years together for 9. I didn't get a 7 year itch but it seems to be hitting me now (maybe the 9 year itch for me).

Heard of it, I experienced along time ago! To be honest I had been married just over 6 years at the time and yes, I did have the itch and sorry to say, I scratched, several times!
Bad marriage that I should have never been in.
No issues this time around, the 7th year came and I never even gave it a thought!
ps, since I don't wear panties I'm not worried about them getting in a bunch! LOL

Yes, I've heard of it and I think it's a lot of bunk! If a relationship has hit a slump I think both parties need to sit down and figure out how to get that spark back. The 7 year itch is, in my humble opinion, just some man's invention to go off and sleep around and "find himself."

I have heard of it and many people swear it really happens.
Our best man and his wife celebrate 7 years this year and they are combating the itch by getting a weekend away.
Personally I haven't stayed in a realtionship for seven years to find out. LOL My hubby and I have been married for almost 2 years and my 1st marriage ended after 5 years.
If you want to e-mail me in 5 years I can let you know if I get it or not :-)

Heard it, been it, done it. If you lose the itch you lose the reason you fell in love in the first place. You lose the passion for all things that are of the heart. Be it love of any kind. It's how you deal with the urges that define what, and who, you are. Go ahead and embrace the itch.
PS: your avatar says allot about you. Me thinks you feel the itch.

I've heard of it, been married 13 years this Sunday and neither myself or my husband ever felt that way, we have an awesome relationship, if a person is having that "itch" then they need to look into the relationship and see what's wrong.

According to the dictionary it is the temptation to have an affair, held to become a hazard in the seventh year of marriage.
The Seven Year Itch is a comedy film starring Marilyn Monroe and Tom Ewell.
After sending his wife and son to Maine to escape the sweltering summer, Richard Sherman meets a nameless 22-year-old blond television model, who is renting the apartment upstairs. Despite recent paranoia about being unfaithful (he is reading a book his company is going to publish about a "7-Year Itch" that claims a significant proportion of men have extra-marital affairs after seven years of marriage) Richard invites the girl downstairs for a drink. However, his over-active imagination works overtime to the point where he imagines his wife carrying on in Maine with their hunky neighbor, Tom McKenzie. He is torn between silly fantasies of seduction, and horrible thoughts of his wife catching (and, in one fantasy sequence, shooting) him.
Make your own mind but do not act silly.

I have heard of it and seen it happen. As long as you keep communication open in your relationship and spice things up now and again, I think the itch would just pass.
