What was DC Comic's name when it first started out in the 1930's

I like DC comics better. The first name that DC comics had in the year 1934 was National Allied Publications. It was founded by Malcolm Wheeler Nicholson.

Marvel! DC's comics look a little bit to much like knock-offs of the Marvel characters. This is one of those "Pepsi or Coke" type questions though. Either way, there'll be good points on either side.
