There is no simplification for log(a+b). Sorry. Logarithms work well with products, quotients and powers, but not sums.

Add the numerical value of a to the numerical value of b and then push the log (not ln) button on your calculator.

find a+b and apply log ,there is nothing alternate

there’s nothing you can do to split up log(x+y).


when looking at it you want to do log(x) + log (y) BUT not so.
By the law of logarithms, log(x) + log (y) = log(x*y)
