I think it should be...

In terms of cannabis and a user's perception of impairment, it has been noted in driving studies that "Drivers under the influence of cannabis seem aware that they are impaired, and attempt to compensate for this impairment by reducing the difficulty of the driving task, for example by driving more slowly."
Source: Sexton, BF, RJ Tunbridge, N Brooke-Carter, et al., "The Influence of Cannabis on Driving," Prepared for Road Safety Division, Department of the Environment, Transport and the Regions, UK, by Transport Research Laboratory, Ltd., TRL Report 477, 2000, p. 4.

In other words, people who use cannabis may be more aware of the fact that they're impaired after they have used, compared with people who drink alcohol and who do not feel impaired after just a drink or two, even though their driving ability has been lessened. Any use of a controlled substance, even just one beer or other social drinking, can impair driving ability for a short time afterward even though an individual may not perceive themselves as impaired.

Yes. At least de-criminalized.
I agree with the previous answer about impaired driving. Marijuana smokers do reduce their speed when at the wheel. I know I did when I used to smoke (before my job). It wasn't so much that my driving was impaired, but it was because I was relaxed and didn't feel pressured to be in a hurry.
However, when a person is drinking alcohol or using other substances, they feel ten feet tall and bullet proof. Marijuana is different.
I think there are numerous reasons the government won't legalized it. First, they'll have a difficult time regulating it so that they can tax it. Second, many pharmaceutical companies' products will no longer be needed or used, because marijuana has other therapeutic benefits. It even knocks out menstrual cramps.
Further, cops will be writing less speeding tickets if people are driving their cars after using marijuana!

NO! More addicts are not necessarily needed in this world.
Fair enough cigarette smoking is bad. But do cigarette smokers start doing drugs because they smoke cigarettes, no. How about dopers that move on to worse drugs. Making its possession might make law enforcement peoples life easier since they do not have to chase them. Will it have any other use?

legalize it and allow it to be farmed .THIS would however meet with strong objection from alcohol lobbyists and the judiciary who would lose money .
MANY judges own alcohol and drug rehab clinics and schools .
THE construction and prison contractors and suppliers would scream also and the guards union would complain because the new felons would be harder to control and much more violent .

Yeah it should be legalized. We're losing the war on drugs , and leagalizing marijuana would be a good start to someday legalizing other drugs.

PLEASE GET THE FACTS BEFORE ANSWERING A QUESTION. CHECK OUT WWW.NORML.COM. Marijuanna does not cause the same harm as alcohol, tobacco or even caffeine. Furthermore the harm associated with criminalization of marijuanna is far greater than the risk of the drug itself.

not addictive, not true it is just ask consistent marijuana users, it does not relax you b/c the THC in it gives you a fast heart beat and anxiety attack , and if you consistently use it you can overdose on it and have a heart attack.
