A damp paper towel will do it. Otherwise try using strips of ductape.

I use heavy duty rubber gloves. The kind used to wash dishes that are textured on the palms. Just rub the palms over the cat hair and it will gather up the hair into a ball that you can just pick off. I wouldn't use duct tape. Over a period of time, it might leave a residue.Just a thought but, why don't you throw a sheet over your comforter for the cat to lay on? When company comes, ball it up and throw it in the closet.

All the furniture in my living room is microfiber, and I have a cat. I just use the vacuum attachment to vacuum the furniture and it takes up all the cat hair. I'm sure it'd work on the comforter, too. But the vacuum attachment does really work for the microfiber furniture.

Check the manufacturer's care instructions. Since it's not suede you may be able to toss in the dryer on low heat and get most of it off.

Duct tape. roll duck tape into a large donut shape and put your hand into it and use it like a lint roller. the sticky stuff on duct tape is much stronger than a lint roller. You could also probably get one of those broom/brushes that has the rubber nubs. That works well on carpet. But duct tape is cheaper.
