i personally don't think so but i have a friend and she's African and she's like a prep/surfer she listens to a lot of rock music and stuff...and people think she is white washed and i was wondering is there even such a thing? i mean besides who decides how white people act ?

I think people define themselves, by what they watch, listen to, surround themselves with, and so on.
The question I have is just because she's African means that she can't be a pre/surfer or listen to rock music?
Does she have to listen to Bob Marley or some gangsta rap?

certain there is the form of difficulty as white washed. truly you're literally not white washed because you've been born in the U. S. and your 2 important languages are English and Spanish. you recognize what you're so do not pay interest to those jealous "wanna be unique" human beings. LOL

I thought it was when your fence was dirty and you just painted over it to look clean. Hence: White washing the fence.
I guess there's a new term in town. Sounds like you're saying black people are dirty and need to be cleaned. That's just not nice for you to say or pertetuate.
Your friend has chosen not to put perameters on her life. She free because of what her forfathers have fought for...you might want to free yourself. Don't let anyone cage you or your freedom to choose.

Don't put too much thought into it, as time goes on there isn't going to be any races left, we're all going to end up looking the same through inter-racial breading. The people that focus on these petty things are the same people that spread gossip, nobody likes them. Don't turn out that way. Just ignore it when you hear it.

It's a horrible term. What it implies is that if she doesn't act like most black people think she should act, she's acting white. That is ridiculous and only keeps attitudes about race in archaeic times. People are individuals and they should choose to do whatever they want to do.
