I think mayor Nagin is the equivalent of the guy in horror movies who yells "RUN!" and then trips the people so they're the ones killed.

I think the people of New Orleans are quite possibly the dumbest people in the US for re-electing mayor Nagin and for rebuilding a city on the coast that is BELOW SEA LEVEL!

I think mayor Nagin should shut up about not getting any money and tell the people the truth... that it's his greed and incompetance that is keeping the money out of New Orleans. Pres Bush said that he would give New Orleans 60 million dollars but that he needed Mayor Nagin to come up with a contingency plan first. Nagin set up a committee but have yet to come up with such a plan. Nagin is corrupt and he left his people to rot, that city can't be given any money until there is a plan in place for what to do with it otherwise it will go directly into Nagin's pocket leaving his "chocolate city" in even worse poverty than than he caused before the storm.

We are making way too much of the hurricane anniversary. Any one remember the day Andrew came through? How about Charlie, Jeanne, Ivan? I know there were more, I just can't remember all the names. I don't think being a hurricane victim qualifies you for instant wealth. The government set a bad precedence with the 9/11 victims. We are doing for New Orleans just as we did for south Florida, Mississippi, Alabama, and the Panhandle of Florida.

I can't believe we're still hearing about it. Florida had four big storms that year that probably totalled more damage. Some areas got hit by three out of the four. They evacuate for three days (or not) and then it takes 48 hours to rebuild.

Maybe it should be named Hurricane Urban Renewal.

This Katrina thing is the biggest joke of the century, because from a natural disaster to a political toy... and the people love that... I felt sorry for them but now i am tired of that... what about Sept 11, Florida every year? Virginia? I am tired. Sorry but that is what i think...

I didn't think about it at all until the media brought it up.

We still don't have flood gates on Lake Phnchatrain that would have kept the whole thing from happening.

It's a sad reminder that the politicians in office are an inefficent bunch of money hungry morons who couldn't keep a promise if it were attached to their foreheads. VOTE NOW!!! CHANGE THE FUTURE!!!
