Go to Start>Control Panel>Add & Remove Programs>Add & Remove Windows Components
Then Select Accessories and Utilities, and press Details, Select Games and press Ok
you may be asked to insert the Windows CD

Go to the Control Panel
Double click the Icon that says Add/Remove Programs
When it opens, look in the bar on the left for a place that says Add/Remove Windows Components
Click on it
Look for Accessories and Utilities
Click on it and then click the Details button at the bottom
Put a check in the box that says Games - that will add all the games to your computer
If you want to only load some games, you can go into details and check only the games you want
Click OK.
You may be used to insert your Windows CD into the CD drive, so be sure you have it handy

Now did you erase the game or just the shortcut under the Start button. If it's just the shortcut, if you go to my computer ---> Local disk C: ---> Windows you might find them in there, but you have to look closely. Solitare will listed as Sol.exe. Look for things ended in .exe
