Lets see, I think Braziian women are the most sexy in the world, there are a lot of orphaned children there that live on the streets, candomble or Brazilian Voodoun is practiced there, the Amazon Basin is the largest rain forest in the world that helps us to have clean air, Carnival in Rio is a major world event, a lot of great athletes come from there, your aboriginal peoples give us a link to the past even though their homeland is being exploited by big business.

i know that brazil is a beautiful country, varied in landscape and people.
i know also that like most of the world there is a great divided between the wealthy and the poor
i don't know if there is much of a middle class there?
every time i think of brazil, i think of something i learned in nursing school in the late 70's, in psychology. we learned that among the poor there, many families designate one of their children as an "angel". this child is the last to eat in the family, and the most likely to have severe health problems as a result. i cannot imagine having so much hunger around, i cannot imagine a family having to make a choice; in my culture the parents eat last. i cannot imagine being wealthy in such an environment.
this is about all i know about brazil, unfortunately, other than brazilian history

what ''they'' know? Who? Us?
I have always wanted to go to Brazil, I know there are some of the most beatiful places and interesting people in the world there. But I'm blond, blue eyed, and white as snow. I've heard from Brazilians that pretty much anywhere I would go, Rainforest and small villages included, I would be robbed at every opportunity, in some places by gangs of 12 year olds. My godfather had an appartment in Nadal, and he says its lovely, but he had to sell it and move because within three weeks of being there bandits had jumped his fence and were running around his yard with guns trying to get through the barred windows, then they shot holes in his car and left.
I will go one day, but the timing has to be right and I have to go with the right people, if I had some Brazilian friends there with me.

Your own country people should know about there own country.
But Americans see Brazil as a beautiful but lawless place where you could live cheaply and they have beautiful women there that would do anything to get to America because the Brazilian men beat them and treat them badly.

If you go there for Carnival you could get laid 13 times in 12 days all by different women!

i'm American, and that i've got some Brazilian buddies and a few Portuguese buddies and Hispanic buddies. i think of it is a want on the area of the Brazilians to make advantageous they are no longer unsuitable for Hispanic (as many ignorant human beings might) and to make advantageous to tell apart themselves from the Portuguese. Brazil would have been a Portuguese colony, however the fashion of existence is greater of a "wild" type and much less strictly Catholic than Portuguese. The language, in spite of the certainty that comparable, is diverse (i might say greater interior the pronunciation than something). i think of Brazilians probable p.c. out greater with the autonomous, wild West approach of the human beings as adversarial to classic Latino type cultures. additionally, the language being based in Portuguese as adversarial to Spanish has a tendency to create slightly an elitist approach.

I'm sure there are some very nice things to do and see there. Just like most countries around the world. All I know about it is what I see and read on the net.

There is a huge discrepancy between the rich and the poor there. I don't think the government takes very good care of their poor. They speak Portuguise, not Spanish like the other South American Countries. And they throw one Helluva Carnival!!!!!
