Long story short: I am renting from this condo owner who has a UK washer and dryer [the brand is Creda]. Because it is from the UK, I connects to this weird power converter/splitter. The splitter is busted [the switch pops off so for now I have a piece of GUM to hold it in place]. I need to know where I could get such a power splitter so I can replace it. PLEASE HELP,I have a lot of dirty laundry sitting at home!! :(

They call it the splitter for fairly some motives. the main reason is that the splitter in how that's formed splits up the air and make sure it the air flows flippantly alongside the automobile and it motives much less air on the back of the automobile. This facilitates preclude drag on a stockcar. wish this facilitates.

dont know what terminology you use overthere but you simply seem to have a 30 amp outlet which a plug from your dryer goes into, which is fed from a switched outlet or possibly breaker type switched outlet, not 100% sure on which is correct never saw something like that B4.(licensed master electrician for 30 yrs)
Either way to fix it you need to shut off the main power and replace it but would not reccommend you do that. Call an electrician!

Yes, buy a different plug for the dryer to fit the plate on the wall. Or you can do both (preferably). Just go to Lowe's or Home Depot and talk with them.

You better have your landlord get it fixed and have it checked by a electrician. The switch may have a breaker attached inside (like a GFIC outlet) & if it keeps popping off something is making it trip (overload). If you force it to stay on something may burn out, either the outlet, switch or the apliance. This doesn't look like 110v so don't put your tounge on it.

Your best bet would be radio shack. If one of those is not available check on the web for a phase converter. What it actually does is adjust the phasing of the AC current from 60 cycles per second which is standard for US to 50 cycles per second which is used many places overseas.

It looks like a transfer switch to me. (the kind you use to connect generators) Why don't you let the owner take care of it? After all, it is the beauty in renting. You are not responsible for anything....

did you try to order it online through the manufacturer? They usually can tell you where to obtain it or are willing to send it to you (had the same problems with other european equipment)
