Girl return it asap it can cause a fire, if the fan is bad and the powersupply will overheat and burn and if u have carpet u will surely have more to worry about than a heavy box to return, pls for ur safety , the other noise can be the harddrive , they could have gave u a refurbished/used one ! R E T U R N IT A S A P , either way u dont need that sh*T

You may have a fan that's not working and either the power supply or other fans are compensating. This is commons with some Dell and Gateway computers.
If you have a Gateway and it only happens when you turn it on, it's normal.
Calll Tech support and let them know so you can get it fixed.

You should return it. It is probably a bad fan bearing or even a wire is touching the fan. But either way, you cannot fix it yourself. Just claim it was defective and get the store to exchange it for you.

Something is way wrong with your pc. Did you save your reciept? Take it back where you bought it or give them a call to find out if it can be fixed. Personally I would demand a new one because if it has one problem it could have more later on. Most places will stand by their products they sell and give you a brand new one. Hope this helps you out hun...........Flo

Yes it is the fan, it sounds either out of balance or a bad bearing. The only cure is to replace it .I was talking to someone on skype one night, well I was trying to, I could barely hear her because of her computer fan .

it is not because of ADSL.
Check that something is not caught in the fan's grill.
If not bring the PC back to the store and say that your new PC needs fixing or replacement.

Original fans are the cheapest, and usually the noisiest. It didn't take time for me to buy a Zalman fan. It was very well worth it.
