Are you people fricken' nuts, or have you just seen one too many Disney movies?

Hippos are the single most aggressive and dangerous animals on the planet. More people are killed African by rhinos than any other single species of animal, and that includes king cobras.

Rhinos are notorious for attacking anything they don't like, that includes people and livestock but they also regularly attack cars. On one occasion a rhino charged a train, killing itself and derailing the train.

Moose attack dozens of people every year. They are probably the single most dangerous animal in North America. (My sister was once bitten by a Musse).

Porcupines are notorious for attacking anything they don't like the look of or to steal food. African porcupines routinely drive lions away from their kills by charging them. In no sense are porcupines only prone to defensive aggression.

And so it goes for most of the other animals listed so far. I really think you people have seen to many Disney movies.

The only mammal I can think of that has never been known to act aggressively is the echidna, and it isn't a herbivore.

There are very few herbivorous reptiles, and Galapagos tortoises aren't on the list. Galapagos tortoises are very omnivorous and will eat whatever meat they can find. In addition to eating insects and shellfish they invariably cannibalise any dead of their own species.

Rhinos, hippos, elephants and even moose have all been known to be aggressive and quite dangerous without being provoked or threatened - just being in their territory can be enough to provoke a deadly attack (just Google "moose attacks" to find plenty of news stories). For a truly gentle herbivore, try a galapagos tortoise. I am fairly sure there have not been any attacks by tortoises on people. If you need a large mammal, go for a sloth.

Ahhh, ya, those first ones, I don't agree with so much. Hippos for instance are extremely aggressive. Maybe a cow, not a bull, they are more likely to either just stand their or run away. Any animal that has it's young near by will be aggresive.

Moose.

They are normally harmless and avoid people, but during mating season a male moose will attack anything he thinks is in his way, including people.

My cat? She doesn't eat meat, and is usually quite contempt to chase bugs and birds all day and she is very sweet unless you scare her or peeez her off.
