I have been studying international business but if I ever had to change careers, I'd like to be an editor for a fashion magazine. What degree would be the best for this? Is it media production? Media Studies? Journalism? Communication?

if being a magazine editor is a career path you really intend to venture into in the future, then your best bet is journalism. you can do this as a major or a minor, if the degree you want to do is a joint honours, or just as a single honours. media production focuses mainly on tv and film production, practical work such as using tv cameras and how to film a documentry. so i don't think this would suit your needs. on the other hand, if you are indeed interested in journalism but want to supplement your studies in that subject with something that has a theoretical aspect to it also, then go for media studies. and yet i will say: be prepared! as this covers all media; i.e. film, magazine, tv, newspapers, radio, the whole lot.

i for one am currently studying media as a major subject with journalism as my minor. i used to enjoy journalism when i was young but my main focus is media studies. seeing as nowadays and today, i prefer doing media to journalism, but hey that's me!

Definitely journalism. You have to understand writing techniques and the business of writing for magazines to be a magazine editor.

Journalism would be the most logical choice. the art of telling a concise yet interesting story is a big part of what magazines are all about. The rest is the glitz, and you don't have to be a rocket scientist to be able to have a feel for glitz as it is the same everywhere. But editing, that takes real talent. I would recommend majoring in journalism.

A degree in Journalism and then look for an internship with a magazine in the fashion department. It is a competitive area, so the sooner you get an internship, the better.

Probably journalism. If it's a specialist magazine, then a degree in the relevant subject. But they all require journalistic skills. And boy, you sure are pretty.
