i think it would be something nice and unique because you are the only one with such an art piece. there may be thousand's out there of casts like that but each and every one is unique and original.

Body casts are considered as art. I think that the only thing you would have to consider is - who will actually view it and what would their reaction be.
If you feel that it would hurt you if someone is offended or turned on by it then keep it away from the public eye. If you can face whatever criticism anyone would make (no matter what form your art takes) then go ahead.
Personally, I believe that art is an expression of oneself, so go for it.

I've seen this kind of art, except the finished product is in bronze. Sometimes they incorperate the husband into it too (his hand). I've even seen a cast of a pregnant womans upper body (belly and breasts, with her hands on the belly). Art is defined by the beholder. If you find it artsy then do it. If you feel uncomfortable about it then don't.

Depends where and what the minds of people who are likely to see it are. I think it is cool.

Inappropriate to whom? It is your place. If anyone takes offense to it, that is their issue and not yours. Do what makes you happy.

It depends what your breast looks like, unless you are into expressionism.
