A VIGNETTE FROM THE PAST
Remember this news story: "..... Attorney General John Ashcroft ordered the semi-nude statue of the Spirit of Justice covered with drapes that, according to an Associated Press story, cost American taxpayers some $8,000.
Miss Spirit is a 10- to 12-foot statue that was sculpted in the 1930s and sits in the Great Hall of the Department of Justice. She wears a toga and sits with a single breast exposed."

Looking back, don't you wish they had covered Ashcroft's face instead? That's the question.

OMG, how many years ago was THAT? Get over it.

How about the millions in pork that Congress ensures flows to their districts for studying cow flatulence and having a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame?

I think it had to do with the fact that Ashcroft felt that one breast is not as symmetrical as the whole breast, someone said his remark was " If I can't see the whole breast, I'll not settle for a single".

I think he had the right to make that decision, it was the way he saw things.
