One legit mystery shopping company, Corporate Research International (CRI), has this website: www.mysteryshops.com.

I wouldn't respond to a spam email to become one. Not all mystery shop companies are good. Don't support spam emails.

I do mystery shopping for CRI and it's good. They paya bit low, but they are legit and they require NO MONEY UPFRONT.

Depends where you look, some are scams and some are real. Usually ones who are real don't advrtise on the internet. The ones you hear on the radio are real. Google "mysterious shoppers". Scams should be easy to spot. Good luck and have fun shopping!

You get money by reviewing people and buying stuff. Whatever you buy is what you make. Or like car dealerships, you pretend to buy a car that you want, call your boss, tell them how your experience was in car shopping, and they give you a check in the next month that you do the job. You can work full-time, or part-time, your hours are up to you.
