I wouldn't want to hold any political office. It would be no fun. No matter what you did, a lot of people would be upset with you. Many people would feel they were permitted to criticize everything you did, even your private life. Your time would not be your own. Everyone would think your business was their business. People would nitpick every aspect of your life, your personality, every quirk and oddity (which we all have). Need I say more?

I would like to be a senior Senator. I would try to do what Sen. Tom Coburn did, and slap some fiscal sense into the people of America.
Of course, when I told people I would be cutting programs across the board AND I wasn't bringing home the bacon AND I was going to try to stop the likes of Ted Stevens from doing the same, I wouldn't get reelected.
