I'm 40 and have been working for 23 years everyday with time off only twice a year for a measly 4 day vacation. Get on your bike, and go chill out. You'll really regret not enjoying being without responsibility.

Get a job, they will pay you for helping them, and with that money, go get a car. Once you have a car, find yourself a job that pays more so that you can start saving for a better car, college, savings.........Get a start on life early, thats the best advice I can give you. I got a job as soon as I was 16 working for mcdonald. I have had 5 jobs between then and now, and I have finally hit the point I want to be. 22 on saturday, truck that I'm very happy with, great job, camper, plenty of money in the saving. Looking to buy a house within the next year or so. oh, did I mention that I was a drop out, and didnt go to college. oh, and I'm not doing manual labor. I'm actually at work while I'm typing this. Get to work, and dont let anyone help you, you will get use to it, and wont be able to do jack by your self. Hope your parents dont have money. Thats not the way to start life.

There are many places that will hire you like McDonalds or taco places. You have to save up enough money for a car and insurance. You also will need to save some money aside for car maintenance and repairs. And then there is the price of gas to consider. So it is best to get a small car. I recommend a Honda. They last a long time so you can buy one thats 20 years old for less money.

I was in this same position. You need to find a job close to home that you can ride your bike to or even walk to. Then slowly start to save your money, or even babysit! Babysitters make ALOT of money! i made over $2,500 a summer, but even just start around your neighborhood! You really dont need a car untill your senior in high school, other wise your just spending money on your car and thats no fun! good luck!!!!

I'm twice your age, have two jobs, two cars and a mortgage. I have different problems. But when I was your age, I had three jobs, a hole in the wall apartment that I could afford, a bus pass, and the time of my life...

My daughters are 14 and 15 they both have jobs and are saving their money. They both maintain very good grades (I don't know where they get it) It's not hard to find a job.You could buy a car. Why not try?

I was there a long time ago. Why don't you have a job? Are you in an isolated area? If not, take whatever you can get. Don't be too proud and take any job you can find. Be grateful that some one has offered you work.

If you really want to achieve something ,Don't lookaround for reasons!! find a suitable job first and have your daily food. Then continue your education and do whatever academic activities that you are interested in such as web/graphicdesigning,anchoring,reporting,writingetc...till you earn and save something don't dream about the car!!
