The scandal was only the all the liberals thought that this would bring down the president, the vice-president or maybe . . . or maybe somebody . . . dammit!
But it turns out that the fact that Mrs Plame was working for the CIA was a known fact in the DC area, it was only a journalist's mistake that he printed it in a national column.

As of yesterday:

On August 29, 2006 Neil A. Lewis of The New York Times reported that Armitage is confirmed to be the first and primary source of the CIA leak investigation.

Armitage was Deputy Sec of State (#2 to Colin Powell) from 2001-2006.

Yea.. the Bush administration vacation an undercover CIA agent, betraying one among our troops scuffling with the warfare on terrorism (Valerie Plame's interest change into to seem for loose nukes), as a strike of retaliation for Joseph Wilson's criticisms of the warfare... Wait... the position is the outrage? it really is gold!

Ms. Plame and Mr. Wilson are pursuing a civil suit for loss of employment related to outing her as a CIA operative. Other than that, the indictment against Lewis Libby for perjury and obstruction of justice are still pending. There will be no more indictments.

It's still going on. Scooter Libby, Vice President Cheney's chief of staff was arrested awaiting trial on Felonly Obstruction Charges. He is the highest ranking official in Dick Cheney's camp.

The prosecutor said that he was unable to properly investigate the crime that occurred (outing of a covert CIA operative by members of the Bush Administration), because of the fact that Vice President Cheney's chief of staff Scooter Libby would not tell him the truth. Now he's being prosecuted for lying. If he does decide to tell the truth to save his *** from prison, then the investigation will re-open and the Bush team will be back under the Microscope.

People need to distinguish between what they wish was true and what really was. If you read the prosecutors statement you will clearly see that she was a covert operative and that the revealing of her identity was a crime.

The lesson to be learned from the Valeria Plame case was that the Bush administration blackmailed the media to stop them from printing anything that went agains the assertion that Iraq had WMDs. The media learned the lesson, so they don't want to say anything that goes against our current policy again -- maybe they'll be sent to Guantanamo, without a trial, if they do. The media is scared, just like the administration wants it to be, so they are obedient lap dogs now.

Turns out that it was Richard Armitage at State Dept that leaked it, not Bush, Rove, Cheney, etc as the droolers were so sure of.

She was not a covert agent as some might want people to think. She was a Desk jockey, so there were no violations that had actually occurred.
