This is, quite possibly, the STUPIDEST move ever made. Freedom fries?!?! What a joke. My mother-in-law stopped buying "Boardwalk Fries" at her favorite spot in Atlantic City just because they changed the name to "Freedom Fries". Way to go, people! You lost a customer.

Actually the first freedom fries were offered at the Capitol Cafeteria, but since the Israeli Lebanon mess, Bush has cosied back up to the French, especially on view of World disapproval of our actions..at any rate the name was was quietly changed back to french fries, with no fan fare. So we can safely go back to french fries without being labeled subversives. LOL

In NJ, there were people BUYING French wine and pouring it into the gutters in protest. We're not talking about the intellectual elite here.
During WWII, they tried to rename sauerkraut as "Freedom Cabbage."
Does the fact that we're bickering with Iran make my Persian cat a Freedom Feline??

the united statesauthorities has stated in only the most suitable 6 months over 60,000 human beings were killed in Iraq. I continuously locate it humorous that on the documents, they make little fan honest about 2 hundred those that were killed in a truck bomb, yet then they make an excellent deal on how one solder became killed in Iraq. it really is actual that the existence of the Iraq human beings is low cost, they're being killed through the hnudreds on a on a daily basis foundation. Now this isen't affirming that the united states is the significant reason behind this, it really is years of one facet conserving the different out of power and in poverty. it really is gloomy that multiple human beings on all aspects are growing killed, yet contained in the scope of wars, overs 2% of the worlds poupulation became killed in international conflict 2. And in Vietnam we lost fifty 8,000 men. we can in ordinary words wish for a good outcome for all this blood.

The House cafeteria changed the name from French Fries to Freedom Fries on the menu in the cafeteria because of Chirac's venomous statements against the United States.
As it turned out Chirac was so pissed because France and French companies were profitting on Iraq's "Oil-for-Food" program as well as illegal Iraqi oil being shipped from Syria. In my opinion Chirac is a buffoon and anything to distance us from him is great.
But the "Freedom Fries" thing was embarrassing.

It was a silly idea , but it was also a way for regular people to show their anger of an allies backing of the opposition during a conflict. So if in the end it made someone feel patriotic what was the harm?

....because making people change something you personally disagree with is the definition of freedom...dont most people just say "fries" anyway?
p.s. you forgot about the freedom braid, the freedom poodle, and the freedom tip manicure.

It was extremely ridiculous, it also was a shock that people were actually stupid enought to follow the trend. Then again, now that I think back on it, it really wasn't a shock when you consider that some of those people actually voted for the moron running the country.

It was a typical knee jerk reaction. For those who care they are back on the menu as French fries. I can sleep better at night.
